After 60+ years of road accident free riding I had a bicycle going the same direction I was going make a U turn in front of me. It was life altering. I ended up with fx scapula, six ribs, drilled skull to relieve pressure, internal ear problems effecting balance. On a humerous note: I was 73 at the time of the accident and before that I realized I had certainly out lived the ods and felt that some day I would get a "sign" to hang it up. When I had the accident I decided that was sign enough!! For what it's worth I will add that were it not for my full face Nolan helmet I wouldn't be alive today.
